FAMILY NIGHT AT EAC

Starting August 4, 2008, The Emergency Aid Coalition will be open Monday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to serve FAMILIES ONLY.

The EAC will begin opening every Monday evening to accommodate the food and clothing needs of low income working clients who, despite employment, struggle to provide even the basic necessities for their families. Many families are unable to access our services because they may jeopardize whatever income they have by taking off work in the daytime. Click here for Client Info.

We are now actively recruiting teams to work in the Food Pantry and Clothing Center on Monday evenings. Ideally, each team of 6 to 10 volunteers will commit to provide volunteer coverage for one Monday each month for a year. Of course, we also welcome individual volunteers aged 16 and up who would like to commit to a Monday evening. Click here for Volunteer Info.
  • Family Night at EAC will begin on Monday, August 4, 2008.
  • Evening hours will be 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Services will be offered to families and individuals with jobs who are unable to come to EAC during regular business hours.
  • Non-working clients will be encouraged to return the next morning for clothing and a lunch.
  • Food and clothing will be provided for all eligible clients.
  • EAC is actively seeking teams of volunteers to commit to provide volunteer coverage for the 1st, or 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Monday.
  • Each team would be expected to bring a certain number of volunteers (6 to 10) and to provide substitutes for those members who could not make it on a particular evening.
  • This evening of service will provide opportunities for working people and families to serve EAC clients in a very meaningful way. Face to face interaction with the clients is rewarding and gives one a great feeling of making a difference in peoples’ lives.
