Since the hurricane disasters in 2005, EAC has been distributing
clothing, groceries, and emergency financial assistance to hurricane
survivor families. Funds are used to purchase children's items, baby equipment, prescriptions, and the
many essentials for resettlement into housing.
The Hurricane Outreach Program Extension to Survivors, HOPES, reaches
out to those in need by targeting Houston area schools and neighborhoods
with the most survivor families. The HOPES project provides basic needs
including food, clothing and limited emergency financial assistance as
well as school supplies and uniform shirts for students who are
hurricane survivors attending Houston area schools.
